Portugal Railway Summit 2022

Its third edition took place on May 16th and 17th, 2022, at the Port of Leixões, Matosinhos, Portugal.

The Portugal Railway Summit, already a reference in national railway events, is annually organized by PFP - Portuguese Railway Platform Association, Railway Cluster. Its third edition took place on May 16th and 17th, 2022, at the Port of Leixões, Matosinhos, Portugal.

With the purpose of debating diverse ideas, exchanging experiences, and presenting new perspectives on innovation for the railway sector, this event brought together a panel of crucial topics:

  • National Investments
  • Innovation and Technological Challenges
  • Intermobility
  • Portuguese Clusters Forum
  • Pitch Sessions

At a time of great prospects for the future development of the Portuguese railway sector, including the National Railway Plan, Portugal Railway Summit highlighted planned investments, especially in High-Speed Rail, in line with environmental challenges. Priorities and innovations were discussed to guide long-term decisions and integrate investments announced by the EU for the future of railways in Europe.

The event, held over two days, featured these five panels with diverse speakers such as Joel Silva (Director of Railway Infrastructure), Faustino Gomes (President of Lisbon Metro), Bruno Miguel Silva (General Director of Medway), Antonio Nabo Martins (Executive President APAT), Joana Delgado (Project Manager), among many others.

In addition to panel discussions, Portugal Railway Summit maintained its tradition of offering pitch sessions for business presentations from various entities. The Portugal Railway Summit reaffirms itself as an exponentially growing event for discussing current trends in the national and international railway sector, and as such, we look forward to integrating even more topics, investments, partners, and guests into the next editions!
